homeless

Pete, what happened that you are loosing your home?
Bob.

The fact that I have been having to pay for a 1000sq ft 2bed 2bath apt all on my own for 7 months (soon to be 8) and the leasing office REFUSES to let me transfer into a 1bed 1 bath to save money as well as refuse to help me get a roommate since craigslist and posting adds at the gym and colleges isn't helping.

Work has been extremely slow lately as well. With both jobs and my own home practice combined I have only done 8 massages so far this month......that doesn't even cover bills......

So as of August (sadly also my birthday) I will be unable to pay rent due to all of this...and will be living on the street out of my LS :/ least I didn't sell the LS, lol

update

so I tried finding some place I could live. End result is that I'll be moving into my parents foreclosed home. I can live there RENT free in a 3 story house all by myself until the banks seize it sometime between Nov 2010-Nov 20* <<whenever as it seems many houses aren't seized yet. Great thing is I can save money and get my car fixed/looking better (only with the extra funds available) instead of selling the LS and driving a beater. This might turn into a great opportunity for me.

With your chosen field, you could proably do a lot better in Southern California, and Los Angeles or San Diego in particular.
All that Seattle has to offer is over 300 days of rain.
Man, how do you cope with all that crappy weather.
Depending on the area in Southern California, rents in some places are very reasonable.
As for your chosen field of employment, those who succeed in that field, do so because they know there is a demand for that service, and I would say Southern California is proably the best place in the world to practice the trade.
You may want to give it some thought, and joining the web site "City Data" is a great place to get helpful information.
Just trying to help dude.
Bob.

I gotta stop opening Petes threads. His ginormous sig GIF slows the hell out of my slow Hughes internet and sometimes locks up the system.

Actually I've been considering it. I have family in CA and I do like the weather. I just am broke so I have no expenses to move. Maybe with this situation I will have the funds to move down after a few months-a year at this home.

What is sad is the computer at work plays it fine and mine bogs like heeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll! Absolute hell I say!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

you can't handle the awesomeness

good thing is with this rent-free situation I can save quite a lot with both these jobs when they are busy

I make 45 per hour at a job that I'm on the books for 25-29hrs and then I make 30-40per hour at this new job where I'm on the books for 35hrs (when you count having lunch)

Something's fishy... $45*25=$1125 and $30*35=$1050 If those are per week and not per month numbers you should be doing fine (that's $8700/mo before tax). Somehow I'm thinking you are only working 60ish hours per month... how else could you be such a post whore? :p

It's not like you are loosing your home. You are moving because you can't afford your RENT. There is a BIG difference. How long was your lease? Standard one year? Sounds like it is about time then. I had to move twice in the past 5 years due to the landlord raising the rent (I wouldn't have roommates).

I would guess there are many luxuries in your life you can live without if you really wanted to keep the place (I would never suggest you sell your lincoln). Do you have cable? Do you have iPhone or similar? Do you drink? Do you eat out? Starbucks? Movies? etc.

There are many places in a budget than can benefit from some reduction when times get hard.

I have lived just fine without cable for the past 2 years. Cut my cell phone plan down to pre-paid too. Salary cuts make you re-examine what is important in your life.

Good luck man.

those are numbers if I am busy. As I stated in the beginning and in my post you referred to....work has become slow...probably cause people are on vacation..I have only worked a total of 10hrs this month...which is only 450 bucks...that can't pay my 1300 rent.

My phone bill is free...my mother pays 10 per month for me and my brother to be on her network with unlimited txt/minutes.

I don't drink out...if I go out I only drink water with my buddies since I gotz no money..I have liquor at my place and am going through that.

I never eat out..as it is unhealthy. I haven't been on a date since valentines day....I'm currently living on chicken, canned tuna, and protein powder. My gym membership was prepaid last sept, as well as I have a free Gold's membership. My car insurance is now 140 per month...my car payment is 300(what I pay). So really I've cut enough as it is. Reason why I have so many posts too was because I was unemployed for 4 months as well. Paying for a 1300 per month apt on your own for 7 months when being unemployed and not having a roommate is very very hard.

oh and btw the new job that pays 30x35 is starting next month!!!!!

Good luck to you Pete. Times are hard sometimes... even worse when you rely on tips or similar. I'm glad to hear you are not out spending wads of cash on things you don't need and can't afford.

I hope you can land that new job... was that 30hrs @ $35/hr or what? I could get down on that as long as I didn't have to rub anybody down :p

It's 20/hr + tips which range between 10-20 per hour.

I wish I could be spending money...I got a TC still in my storage unit, I got a bumper that needs fixing, and my ABS is out......plus my car needs detailing.
