hooking up a laptop to your ls?

If I have the cable to hook up from my obd2 to my usb on my laptop can I download the pbograms needed to scan for code?

There is an interface module used by most of these programs that interface the car's network to a standard laptop serial or USB input. THe software then decodes that.

the OBDII input uses different pins depending on the make of car (their unique implementation of the ODBII standard).

what are u attempting to do?

I would love to be able to hook my laptop to my double din and jus listen and watch stuff that is usually on my laptop, can i do that?

for the record.. i was able to convert my audio out on my laptop to a regular audio cable.. all i would technically have to do is get a video out from my PC.. any ideas...?
