I just put new Conti Extreme Contact on and pretty disappointed. The vibration is horrendous. Ive had them balanced by 3 shops including the dealer. I feel like this car is super sensitive as all my LS have had shimmer in the wheel. However these feel like im running over a brick road. Far from what id consider acceptable. I have mostly a brand new suspension on top of that except front sway bar bushings. The odd part is the vibration is different and changes every other day and I did not have this happening on my old Ventus Noble 2 tires. Almost wondering if I got a bad batch. They are brand new ordered from Discount Tire on ebay for 150 each. Actually wondering if they are authentic..

What size?

Michelin's have always road well for me on my LSes. Sometimes you do have to do a roadforce balance.
I do agree that the LS is very "sensitive."

I have always road force balanced. What Michelin's? Extreme contact is so held up I went with them. The traction is great also. I am running the stock size 235/50 I believe.

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 and MXM4s. The sports have better traction, but avoid the short tread life ones.

Are all the weights on the tires?

Did you ever get this resolved?

I agree with this car being super sensitive. I have yet to get mine to drive without vibration issues. New tires when I got it. Have taken it back 2 times since and had them rebalanced. Discount Tire so they are road force balancing them. I have seen improvement both times which tells me they don't know what they are doing or it wouldn't get better. First rebalance eliminated the bump steer. Second time just made it better. Still have vibration between 60 and 75 that comes and goes. Going to take it to a different location again and get them to show me exactly how they do each tire. Looked at some instructions for the Hunter machine online they use and it measures the wheel run out and the tire high spot and then matches them so they are then together. Are the kids balancing the tires even trained to do this?

Front shocks helped but a year later still have it at that speed mostly when cold. Same thing on both LS. Over time it slowly went away as the tires wore. I had fresh extereme contact. Some more research showed a lot of people have this issue. Perhaps tires or maybe bad luck with the wheels on both? Dont know.

I believe what you are experiencing are the harmonics of the tire. Certain tires matched with a particular vehicle will experience vibration harmonics. Tune all the suspension you want, but it will not completely stop it. The best method to stop it is buy the correct size tire for the car. We all love the high performance tires but there are draw backs. I personally buy my tires from Discount Tire online and ship to my home (free!). Mount them myself and have a local Sam's club balance them. My choice is the least expensive tires they have that fit the car. A chinese company opened a new factory in S.Carolina that makes great tires. About $60 each. I threw out my expensive Conti's and never had the problem again.
