I had some sputtering between 3,4 & 5 for a few weeks, dealership could not detect it... Then got worse & check engine light came on solid.
Thought it was my ignition coils (again!!!), checked the plugs before trying to test each coil & instead decided to replace the plugs (worked like a charm).
1. Now my concern is the check engine light did not go off, should it go off automatically or do i need to reset it, if so how do i reset the warning light?
2. Secondly, if i in fact did not correct the right problem, will the computer pick it up again & bring the warning light back on?
Please excuse my lack of knowledge as I am a novice gear head...
