How do you remove shift knob?

Like it says, i need help removing shift knob. any help or directions pictures, ect. will be of great help.thanks

Easy!!

Just slightly twist and pull down on the black ring at the bottom of the shift knob. Under that is a screw. Unscrew it and your good.

thanks, the only thing more you could have done for me is actually taken it off for me. it was quiet simple. i wanted to know how to do it bc im considering wrapping all of my woodgrain pieces in a "black woodgrain" appearance vinyl from rvinyl.com. probably not a permenant thing but i wanna see how it will look.
