Excellent! The spring job is fairly simple, just takes some time. I lowered all 3 of my LS's since 2000 and they all just got easier and easier to do. This is one of the cheapest mods with the sweetest looking results.

simple lol iam not exactly mechanically inclined

I had the dealer install my springs and align it. The charged me $300 but they installed new rotors and pads too with that price.

I think I paid $160 for my springs, gave a mechanic $200 to put them on and align it.

$200 for installation and alignment is pretty good. I think, if you are a stranger walking in off the street, you'll be looking at around $240 ... really depends on where you live, though.

I know Sears charges me $65 for an alignment. I figure 2 hours labor to install at most shops ... at $75-$80/hour, that's $150-$160 ... plus tax ... plus the aforementioned $65 alignment.

If you get the springs from tirerack, that's $253, plus shipping.

SOOO... by my estimates, it sounds like your price of $480 is not unreasonable. It may not be as cheap as some folks are able to get, but its not like the shop is trying to rip you off, either.

The $200 wsa cash under the table at a Ford shop. I asked how much they wanted, he said $360 or so, then later said $200 cash and they would align for free.

I was gonna do it myself but I figured for $200 with alignment it was worth it.
