Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with the "lasagna" look of my rear window molding??? I heard that replacing it would be very expensive. Any help would be appreciated.

Only one real way -

Buy a new back glass unit.

I have heard of some people trying to glue the trim as well, but I wouldnt try that personally.

I used 3M double side sticky tape under mine and pushed on the bad spots and it layed down for quite a while...like a year or so

Derek used a black trim for door edges I believe to hold his straight.

I was lucky to have a good seal on my Mark so I am doing everything I can to keep mine nice!

Nice!

What's scary is you may have done it... LOL

Hey but you did do a great job of putting the snow back on the top of my 94. Could even tell you were there...

I'm not going to find any dead bodies in my trunk when I give the 94 out?

I just took a plastic knife, like one of the ones you would get wendys or whatever and pushed the rubber back so it folded into itself and went in the groove...you really cant tell except for at the end of it and who cares, looks WAY better and was free.

Cant beat free...besides whos lookin at the trim when our cars look like this anyway? lol

Thanx for the tip. Mine has been sitting for a while now and got worse. It is dry rotted and starting to split. I guess I am going to have to bite the bullet and get a new window and molding. Then I won't have to f**k with it for a while:)

If I ever repaint my car I will be ridding the rear window of the gasket... but that is a long long time from now.
