ok. so i was driving on this 4 lane road last night... *2 lans each side*, and a 67 camaro with a drag set up pulls out in front of me.

he guns it a little and the tires spin so i floor it and pass him by. a little bit of traffic came along so i let him pass me so i could follow him. i did for a while crusing 60 mph in a 45. then we came to a light. his windows were pure black so i knew that if i stared at his car enough, he'd want to race. sure enough he did.

he started off so and he messed with me, but he saw i was coming up and he gunned it. my front bumper was with his back but when i hit 55 and that car lowered, i slowly crept up on him. he jammed into 4th gear, wheels spinning on him still! my front axle was right with his back and very SLOWLY gaining. suddenly, he slowed down.

this road is notorious(sp?) for having kansas cop cars hide on so then i slow down but i still passed him.

the end result was about 105mph down this road and i kept with him the whole way! i would have bet a million bucks he was playing with me but the way he shifted into 4th sounded like he was doing all he could not to be beat. i talked to my dad and he said the same thing. now the badge on the side of the car said "SS 396" but my dad thinks its the lower 325HP engine and some guy just half assed it by putting on the drag wheels.

personally, i was just so amazed the way my car performed. its never really been driving like that *until i started driving* so i just wanna know what u guys think. BTW, my only mod is a K&N air filter setup. more mods after winter tho.

sorry for long read :)

Dude. I hung with a 13.8 second firebird formula. Maybe he wasnt trying. Nice kill though. I raced an evo and beat it in 90+ degree weather.

It's the skill of the driver and his knowledge of his ride that will win a race!!!!!!

if hes spinning in fourth...its prolly a bit more than 325 horse...

Too much torque and not enough horsepower for him lol...

It's the driver.

I have beaten many cars that have outclassed what ever my current ride was. A lot of them were really nice cars driven by pimple faced teeny boppers who had not a clue how to shift or manually shift an auto. A lot of faster cars can be beaten just by knowing your ride and knowing when and where to run. Chances are if you know the road better than your opponent, and you have a decent car, he is yours.
