Hello,
First time poster. A week ago my 93 mark viii died on the freeway. After that it will crank but not start. I had the cam and crank sensors replaced yesterday. And when that did not work I had a new mechanic come and pull codes.
the codes are
226 no ignition diagnosis monitor recieved
210 [25,20,2,a] Please refer to the relevant manual
10 seperator code
I have been looking all day and cant find these online anywhere. Please help.

When you Key On- without crank, can you hear the fuel pump prime under the back seat?

Yes fuel pump makes a whirling sound. Fuel pressure was also checked. There is no spark from either ignition coil. there is power going to it but none from it.
Thanks

Check the wire harness for the Crank Sensor. Pull back the loom covering it closest to it. It happens sometimes that the wire jackets rot away, leaving bare wires. If they touch each other, car won't start

The harness looked fine. I had the mechanic check it when he put in the crank sensor. when it didnt turnover he checked for spark, When no spark was found he scanned for codes and found the ones posted. I

The reason you're not finding anything on those codes is because there's not enough digits

When you say "the harness looked fine" did YOU actually see the wires INSIDE the loom of the harness, or taking the techs word that " yeah theres a wire harness there"??

Gen 1 anti-theft lets car turn over but no spark.....if I remember right.
Unplug the anti-theft module behind the glove box and give it a shot.

I inspected the wires while he was changing the crank sensor. It looked fine

Some came with a Dealer installed Anti-Theft key, usually located under the steering wheel, about where your right knee would point. Your car may or may not have this feature. My first 93 had it.

You could try turning the key to the On position, and then ground out the starter solenoid manually from under the car.

Hey Guys thanks for the help so far. I hired a third mechanic who came out and noticed a loose connection to the ignition control module. After connecting it the car starts immediately. Thanks agian.
