i dont get supercharging an ls

What i dont get is this how are all of you guys putting super chargers in these luxury cars when i was driving flushing ave in bk and i seen my freind next to me in his 96 max so we started going head to head on the old factory strip (mind you i hafve the heater on dont kno if that s what it was) anyways im flying beating him o like 50 miles an hour poof smoke started coming out my whole car i had to pull over (embarassing) with my smokey long story short i take it to my mechanic and he tells me i pop my antifreeze hose from pressure .........wow retarded is that anywayz my freind with his max shot my dream of putting a supercharger in my ls cuz if it cant on a little pressure imagine with a super

Manifold pressure (supercharging or turbocharging) has nothing to do with your coolant pressure. Two totally different systems. You need to understand what actually affects what other systems on the LS to make a statement like that. Sometimes hoses just burst or dry rot real bad, it happens. That is part of maintenance of a vehicle. Your frustration with your car is understandable but blanket statements like yours are not necessary.

Well - I guess you are kinda indirectly talking to me there...

A hose blowing is - a hose blowing - that's all. Any car can do it - most of our LSes have not. It certainly is not indicative of all LSes.

I've been autocrossing my car for 4 years now. I am on my fifth set of brakes and fourth set of tires - with 44,000 mile on it. I been driving Supercharged for 9months now, and I would not be the 'easiest' driver on a car.

My LS has been apart many, many times. I have had most of the common failures - valve cover gaskets, door handle, window regulators, ...etc - but nothing that is a real 'flaw' in the car ability to take some abuse.

It was a $5 hose, that's all.

A supercharger will also over inflate your tires and make you have a blow out. Thats what my aunt told me.

Sounds like they put your supercharger inline with your water pump with no vent. You might need a blow off valve for it. You gotta be runnin alteast 50 lbs of boost to keep blowin hoses like that. My mechanic has my downpie and blow off valve running into my overflow tank so my hoses won't blow. I don't know how many horses I'm puttin down but it screams when I get on it. You might want to check into that DEI also, it sounds like it's right up your alley.

um..,well truthfully i didnt come on this thing to get dissed but as you can tell i really dont kno to much about cars i guess i lost but love for it im (20)a trucker from brooklyn by the way but anyways that sh,,t got me real upset cuz showing off your ride is a big sport out here in bk so when that happen i was pissed and everybody keep telling me not to waste my time with making it fast it wont look right and this is the famous one its a ford ford is garbage

Not to be a search jerk but lowering springs have been discussed alot. There are 3-4 companies that make them.

The Navi's are 6 lug, they won't fit on the LS. Same style, though. Might check eBay or Craigslist for them. I've seen them on there from time to time.

the reason i want this is because of the sick looking round fogs and grill on the bottom im ready to spend the $400.00 for it but am not sure it will fit.

there may be a gap between the bumper cover and the headlights
