I don't recommend DDM Tuning

Hey all,

As some of you may remember I was going to purchase a set of 9005 6000k HID kits from DDM tuning. Well, I ordered them on the 10th and it is the 21st today and they still havent shipped. I'm pissed because they billed me on the day I ordered them and I still don't have any kits. They had a note on the website for a day or 2 about back orders, but they didnt mention that when I ordered the lights, and they never bothered to send me an email about the delay. Their ship ticker thing still says that my order is about 1000 orders from being shipped. Eh well, guess i'm just venting, but for the time being, DON'T ORDER FROM DDM!
 
Hopefully it's just temporary. It took a couple of days for mine to ship, maybe 3 at the most...
 
It's annoying yes but it isn't news that's how DDM works. Emails are slow but the website seems to be updated daily as to when orders ship.
 
i ordered mine in january and got them pretty quick... I know for another member something was backordered but he still received it and the stuff is pretty good... just remember patience grasshopper lol
 
you should have taken up my offer dan from HID Squad i would have shipped them same day you paid, you would of had them 2 days later, i have had mine in my 97 for a month now and i havent even gotten one flicker unlike the cheaper ones, they fire instantly and i dont even get a check headlight message either!! i just ordered 2 more kits tonight, one for my 93, one for my buddies 94, the nice thing is, i can get them in a few hours vs days because they are in largo!!
 
I just bought 3 more sets from ddm tuning. took about 2 weeks to get them, but well worth the wait.

Hmmmmm i wonder where you got that thing about " patience grasshopper " from. LOL
 
DDM has been having some issues with backorders and timely shipping the last few months. I read on a few forums about people waiting a month to get HIDs from them. I sent in a defective ballast to them the first week of April and got a new one 2 weeks later.
 
Here's an update, I finally received my package from DDM 20 days after placing my order. I ordered and payed for 2 kits, I only received 1. These guys kinda blow.

More likely the car side is wired wrong. It's pretty common on halogen equiped cars. Halogen bulbs don't care about polarity
 
i ordered from HID's from DDM twice, the first time after i placed the order i noticed about 5 days later on my email-invoice i had ordered the H1 bulb. So i then i ordered the 9005 this time i used USPS over UPS the 9005 arrived like in 4 days one day after the H1 kit arrived.
 
I just installed 2 hid kits in the impala, one for headlights, and one for fogs. Kit was great, installed in just under 30 mins and is seriously the best $50 I have ever spent. DDMtuning.com ftw!
 
xtremehids.com.....faster shipping....comparable pricing...excellent warranty exchange...just hold on to the reciepts with ur dear life
 
Also... in retrospect I guess they did okay. They posted on their website a couple times saying how customs had their shipments stuck in limbo. They didnt send me a tracking number when the second set shipped, and they didnt tell me why I only received one set of bulbs on my first order. That aside, when I needed to call them on the phone, it wasnt bad. I got a chick on the phone the last time I called and I made her start to laugh when I told her my car has been a pediddle for the past month. I suppose if they hadn't had back order issues, everything else was fine. They just suck at communicating, unless you call and ask.
