ok, here is the start of my progress thread. today i rebuilt the front end and put new shocks in the rear. this weekend i am going to take the entire exhaust off and replace it with a whole 98 lsc dual exhaust. i'll leave the mufflers on for now most likely until i order some new ones. i took a ton of pics so enjoy!!

i actually had to cut out the bottom bushing and sleeve because the factory shock bolt wouldnt fit in the sleeve. i had some poly shock bushings in my tool box with the proper sleeve size so i modified the brand new shocks, brand new? supposed to fit arent they lol??

and of course the " I WISH PICTURE "
10spokes2.jpg

if anyone has chrome 10 spokes that they want to give up, i'd like to buy them but i cannot afford much, after christmas, buying these cars and now dumping all this money into the suspension i'm on the broke side. if anyone has 4 decent ones and maybe a diff with 4:10's or 4:30's i'll trade you the rosemist 94 for that! those chrpme 10 spokes in the pic are mint on the face, all 4 are broken and all 4 tires are ripped open, dammmmmit!

This reminds me i need to do the front suspention in mine(as if the constant clunking isnt)......damn it. Looks good Jamie, i wish i had a set of wheels to trade for the rose mist...

Ugh, I too will be doing the front end overhaul soon. Any pointers on the R&R of the UCA? Anything needed to make the job easier?

15 mm socket, 18 mm wrench, and a flathead to break the flag's off the heads of the upper control arm bolts. there is nothing hard about it, even the one behind the brake booster is a breeze.

Excellent, I have those tools. :D
Looking foreward to doing it. Are those Moog rear SRB you used? I was gonna get the poly ones from SCP since I am ordering my arms and sway bar from him.

Jamie, it kinda looks like you know what you're doing :p or you make up stuff as you go along. Seriously though, looks like you done a good clean job on it and I noticed that the 2nd pic is the one you sent me while I was under my car holding the ass end of a transmission up with my knees, putting in the cross member. I'm a multi-tasker but if you send me a pic again while I'm in a situation like that, I'm coming down there and playing darts on the dart board you have on the wall and I'm gonna miss and hit both bumper covers and make them stick.:D

Lincoln Mark Dart with a new coil over conversion. ;) It would be one of a kind. Sherrie would love it.

Just bustin ballz Jamie. It's not too hard to hold a transmission with knees, a cross member with the right hand and pull a phone out of my pocket with the left hand and look at a pic, then, text you back one handed. I would have sent you a pic back but that would have been too much button pushing.

I think we both made major progress yesterday. I know I did and I feel it today too. Things are hurting that I didn't know I had.

What?!?!? No Airride???? lol

Looks like you need a drivers side outer tie rod end boot Jamie...

lol terry you are too much!!!! yes i do need a boot, but not right now lol i did enough in a weekend already. i did this today, more progress. nice meeting you jeff, glad to help!

today i removed the stock one piper exhaust and replaced it with a dual set up off that last 98 lsc i had. for now i'll leave the stock mufflers and tips until i can afford mufflers.

i wouldnt, just hang them up closer, in that photo the rear rubber hangers werent hung yet, it was sitting on the jack stands, its hard to hang that whole exhaust alone lol! gotta think of things like jack stands and cement blocks!!!! i wouldnt cut the bumper.

Jamie, where did you get the control arms and bushings? Also, did you do the front radius arm bushings too, or just the rear?

Ya know, I did all the stuff Jamie did and I still have a clunking. It's not the sway bar either. Frustrating!

what kind of money do you have tied up in the upper/lower control arms and the bushings...although i dont need the uppers just looking a cost idea

id put them closer and swap them right to left that way they would fit flat to the bumper

"Jamie, where did you get the control arms and bushings? Also, did you do the front radius arm bushings too, or just the rear?"
from autozone and advance auto locally. the front radius bushing are perfect i only did the strut rod to control arm side.

"what kind of money do you have tied up in the upper/lower control arms and the bushings...although i dont need the uppers just looking a cost idea"

just under $300 for all of it, including the rear shocks too.

Tips might look cool right next to each other in the middle, just switch sides and flips them. Should be easy to do just loose the mufflers of do straight throughs.

Wow that exhuast is clean... when I took apart Ford Nut's Mark I couldn't believe how clean it was...

thats why i used it, i crapped myself when i took it off the 98 lsc, i never saw an exhaust so new looking, thats the same exhaust bolted to the motor i am trying to sell, everything on the car was clean, minus the totalled body!!

easy enough of a swap for that exhaust, looks like im gonna be pulling the LSC exhaust off my 1995, to put on my 1993...someone hacked some ricer mufflers on it
