After being very careful where I park for the last 5 ½ years in my Mark somebody hit my car. I now have dent in my Left rear quarter It is the size of a large door ding It is about 2 ½ inches long and 1/8 inch deep. I am so mad I don’t know what to do. How do you hit a car that is in the middle of nowhere.

Paintless Dent Removal. Go see the Dent Doctor, probably take that right out.


Edit: And yeah people suck!
 
I painfully remember the first ding in every car I've ever had. It never gets any better. It's almost like the car isn't as special anymore after that. Hard to explain, but I feel for you.
 
yeah I was thinking pdr and will still try but there is a creas you cat see in the pic
 
nothing you can do... just be happy its a lincoln and not a mercedes or something high class like that... i would go and hunt them down somehow. i work at a mall and i always park in the first or last spot in the isles. after every winter i check out my cars to see what new dings i find. people need to learn some friggin respect, just because you drive a old heaping POS doesnt mean you can go hit other peoples cars. disgusting.
 
yup.. my pristine 96 was the victim of a dent-and-run.. im guessing it was in a parking lot but i probably didnt notice it for a few days.. someone hit the passenger corner of my rear bumper... kinda looks like a spider web now...
does that mean my cars killed someone now???..haha
 
My lincoln has remained dent free for the 2 years I have owned it, knock on wood. I've owned my truck for 8 years, always park as far away from everyone as possible. Last year on a windy day I park ontop of a crown in the parking lot and figured their is noway a shopping cart could roll up hill. I come back and someone rammed a shopping cart into the side of my passenger door. Result was a bigazz dent in the bottom of my door, they said dentless wouldn't work because it was creased so bad it would crack the paint. Insurance said they would pay for it but it would require bodywork and the whole side of my truck being painted and faded. Piss on people (non car people)
 
It is not always those with a POS that do this. The worst offenders that I have seen are older people with nice cars. They have a tendency to just swing open their doors with reckless abandon. And some of the morons will do it while you are still in your car. I had one old man who jammed his Cadillac door open into my BMW. When I confronted him, he said it's just a car and refused to give me his insurance info. Cops would not come due to it being a parking lot and therefore private property. So I proceeded to kick a dent in every panel of his car. Then I went up and got right in his face, smiled, and said it is just a car. Never heard any more about it. I was actually surprised a cop didn't come banging on my door.

Sorry slow.... I know how it feels.
I had mine totaled when it was sitting in a parking lot.
 
you know I respect other cars so much I taught my son to ask If he can open the door on the cars before getting in or out. I only have to say no at home normaly couse I don't park close to anyone
 
Was that at the pool hall? S'orry to hear that. look at the bright side its still better looking then mine. for now.

By the way your son is awesome he knows more about cars at 3 1/2 then I did at 16. Amanda and I have a good picture of him at car craft 2 years ago.
 
That ain't shet. Recently some little jit a$s highschool kids thinkin they were tough drove by and shot at my friends house. Yup you guessed it, a bullet hole right through my LS!!!! Luckily it was through the windows into the side mirror ALL covered by insurance. $700 dollars later, I have what appears to be a brand new LS. Because the collision center at the dealer detailed the car like no tomorrow, inside outside and the engine..

I can totally relate, I love my Continental. Since going to school (college) I park in a parking garage which I have a monthly parking permit for and almost every week I find new scratches from people hitting it with there door and it PISSES ME OFF!

I really can't stand people who lack such courtesy. I'm always very cautious about not hitting peoples cars and try and pick out the most prime spot to avoid such situations but of course..... theres always gonna be a hater out there who's pissed that they gotta drive a beater and decides that their cars a POS so they'll try and make your car one too. People just SUCK.
 
I hate people that pull this kind of crap! I had someone do something like this to me. Got backed into the front, Still dont know where it happened because it took a few days to notice. Anyway it was a grand worth of damages and cost me $500 Not to happy about it!

I know EXACTLY how you feel. My idiot friend ran into the side of my parked car and I didn't wash it or anything until it got fixed.

Ya I was waiting for this question to arise. To answer the question, the person is a pro-surfer. It was just some stupid high-school kids (literally) because my friend just beat them in a court-case when they were suing him for something he never even did!!! And this happened in the highest rent district around.
 
i dont know about shooting shutff but I dont hesitate to plant my foot in someones door. Whether they are standing there or not. If your gonna swing your door into mine then you obvoiusly wont care if I stick my foot in the side of yours.

People suck. Its amazing what people do when they don't realize you are in your car - i was parked at an airport, waiting for a visitor and some guy decided he was gonna put his suitcases on the roof and hood of my car to make space in his before putting them in! I got out, took them off carefully and spoke to him - the scrote bag didn't even apologize! People lack respect. :mad:
