I hope someone doesnt buy this

I would kill for headlights that looked that great.

Car interior looks great too. Would have been nice if it were gray.

It has def been repainted as well. The lower valance wind catcher thing  has red over spray on it.

yep if that guy parked near me for any amount of time his car would be headlight-less

Am I missing something regarding the airbag? Look's like 1 of the 2 that were avail in 97.

That neon sure look's like crap and the mileage was prob just some dufus misreading it at the emission's station.

That car was built 10/96, so early in the 97 model year.

Early 97 cars had the "old" style air bag.

Also, those headlights look commensurate to what a 45k mile garaged Mark VIII should/would look like.

John Temple from Mark 8 Muscle has 3 Mark VIII's, all with less than 65k miles and their headlights look just as good as those, and they're all original...

Defiinetly repainted..looks like a quality job but they failed to mask off the lower air dam like someone mentioned..and what's hoof on wig the rear neon?? Looks stained darker in some spots like it leaked...

Yup, pretty sure that's mold(?) caused by moisture entering the housing.

You probably won't have much luck getting the cd changer to work with that headunit either.

I had an experience with something like that when I was looking before I bought my black Mark VIII. I'd found a 93 Mark VIII identical to my first parts car- deep jewel green with a mocha interior. Only difference was this one had chrome 10-spoke directionals and my parts car had snowflakes. Gorgeous car, and I'm not even a fan of green usually. Then I looked inside and saw a small crack in the dash directly under the passenger airbag, and the airbags had obviously been dyed to match the rest of the interior. Needless to say, I didn't walk away- I ran. Kind of answered the question why the paint was in such nice, shiny condition.

Edit: also had black electrical tape over the warning light bank below the message center.

that airbag is correct for early 97 you cant say its been changed because that is the correct airbag. also in one of the pics you can actually see the lowbeam bulb and it is no way big enough to be a factory hid those headlights look like the sylvania halogen conversions which would explain the look of them, low miles or not, if the neon looks like it does there is no way the headlights would be that nice just because it had low miles. and that isnt mold inside the neon, the neon does the same thing that gen one headlights do, the chrome deteriorates and the plastic under the chrome is black, thats why you get that moldy look, but it isnt mold just black plastic. you can rechrome a neon too but have fun cutting it open. i wouldnt care if it was hit, its still gorgeous. someone do a carfax on it then everyone will know.

Looks real nice except for the moldy neon. The miles certainly do seem to jump around though in the history report, so I can only assumed it's been edited to a certain extent.

You guys are picky as hell about exhaust tips and what not like bad97lsc said run a carfax report if you have any doubts. Two why complain about the headlights its called restoration of headlights why would anyone selling a car paint or wash or wax a car and not restore the headlights :?

I dont know about you but $10k is A LOT of money to me. If I'm paying that kind of money for any car i expect it to be perfect. Especially when your paying $10k for a 14 year old car.

Thank's for the refresher.

Great lookin car , but did any one notice that the idle is running low and the temp is running hot , and the window switches are toast, also there are no controlls for the heated seats. This guy should have taken the current bid of 5 k and ran. Bet the oil adapter gasket is leakin and he says it's got a small power steering leek haha. But still the rest of it appears really nice

Regarding the mileage. My guess is that 1997 entry for 36K miles at an emissions test was incorrect.

It might not have heated seats. My 98 LSC did not come with heated seats.

no one here is gonna buy it for 10 grand anyway so why go on about it lol. who cares what happened to it.

I dont see the patin overspray issue. Can someone post the exact pic? I see the air dam missing and the "chin" where it attaches is painted red, as it should be since its part of the bumper.
