today at work, i was sent on a job up to weeki watchee fl to remove 134 wrought iron pickets on some interior railing so we can powdercoat them a different color per the home owners request. well these things were installed originally in holes drilled in the wood just barely big enough for the steel to fit into, on top of that when they put the pickets into the floor and stairs they used mounds of liquid nails in the holes. it took me 6 hours to remove them but as i was getting to the last run, my arms were hurting already pretty good. i was using an adjustable wrench to rotate the pickets back and fourth while i was baring down on the picket with my left arm to get the pickets to slide down and out of the top hand rail so i could remove them. my hands were killing me and beat red, and getting fatigue'd i was also getting pissed and at one of the pickets i really wrenched hard with my arm and i was instantly taken back as i felt my arm give, it felt like i toremy tricep brachii muscle, its the big one on the back of your arm that is mostly used to straighten your arm. it was the worst pain i have ever felt in one of my limbs. this was around 3pm today and its 8:30 now and i am on my 3rd application of perscription muscle rub i got from my dad. it :q:q:q:qing kills. there is no way from the pain that it can be a simple " pulled muscle " if it is, i never want to pull it again because i cannot take the pain without the rub on it. it is horrible i was almost in tears on the long drive back to work no matter how i put my arm or where it hurt so bad. i can hardly lift a glass to my mouth thats how bad it hurts, if i straighten or bend it its like getting shot point blank right in the muscle. if there is serious damage i'm gonna be so pissed. all this because i had to work alone, they hired a new guy who is supposed to be my helper and he lives 14 miles from work and has no car or a license, he has only been working with us for 5 weeks and he has already missed 4 days, and has been late 8 days, this guy is so useless and my boss is a total ass wipe for keeping this guy , he told me today this was the last straw accourding to him the dude is all done, we'll see tomorrow i guess, working in this condition is gonna be fantastic. i really hope this heals itself and it isnt as bad as it feels.
this is like what i had to do, but the top rail was heavy oak handrail that had to remain in place which is why i had to twist and pull down on the pickets to remove them.
