First off hello everyone now I have a factory JBL stereo and a factory cd changer from a late 90s lincoln continental the wires were cut about 6 inches from the stereo and about 1 foot from the clarion factory cd changer and I was wondering if someone could tell me what each color wire is for and where they should be connected to in order to make them work I wanna hook it all up in a 1994 ford areostar van and I know that I will have to run some wires or all of them if I have too thanks in advance

P.S. I can include pics if needed

Considering you're hooking it up to another late 90's Ford... I'd say you should be able to just match the colors of the wires and hook 'em up... I used to have a 92 Conti and I think if you look closely at the wires (for the radio) it should have some print on it that says what its for. I don't know what to tell you about the cd changer.

yup, most of the wires will probably be the same color codes. but a quick question?? does the Aerostar have a remote amp??? or did it use 'normal' headunits like many other ford products?? The conti head unit is NOT amplified, and will need an amp to drive the speakers

The stereo is a normal head unit with cd changer controls I can pretty much figure out how to wire the head unit it is the 6 disk changer that i cant figure out how to wire back The stereo is a JBL with the large front the disk changer is a clarion that was mounted in the between the seats consol! Their are several wires that hook to the cd changer which do not corrospond to any that hook to the stereo now I figure part of these might be power and grounds but I need help with all so I don't smoke the changer or the stereo !
