I need tech help?

I am trying to put an exhaust clip from my camcorder to my PC... I bought a firewire today to hook my cmcorder to my PC but that were my knowledge of computers stops. Do I need a certain program to get the clip off my camcorder? What do I do? Where do I start?

im pretty sure u meed a program to put it on your pc. i have one for my canon. id call a circuit city and ask them what u need to use.

If you're running XP, Windows should automatically find it for you once you plug it into your computer AND turn your camera on. I have never had to install any camera software to download to a PC. Windows is perfectly capable of doing it for you.
