:Bang ok so i have a couple of things i need to ask about.

1. ok my engine has a miss in it. my mechanic says to keep driving it the only reason its missing is because the injectors are clogged from w here it had sat so long. now ive been driving it but im still not getting any results from that. i tried to floor it the other day and it just didnt gain any speed really like it was trying to but barely gettin anything. nothing came up on the computer diagnostic test. so does anyone have a clue?

2. when my lincoln was wrecked the air bags deployed. and i was thinking because i really dont care about the air bags being put back in if i could just get a custom dash mat instead of the whole dash?

3. also does anyone know how i can repair my seat belts to where they will work again with out having to spend a fortune?

4 and finally my turn signal is stuck to turning right when whomever wrecked it .. well wrecked i guess they grabbed the turn signal switch and broke it. so i put it back on at the time neither turn signal was working so i was messing with it one day and then it got stuck now the piece its self moves but i cant the turn signal to stop

anyone with any information will be gladly appreciated. thank you so much

...

for the engine miss... maybe you need new coils.
i have some for sale. PM me you're interested.

On #2, are you driving your car with a hole in your steering wheel? If so, can you please post pictures.

Also, on #3, what's wrong with your seatbelts? Seems to me this is an important safety item that you'd want to get fixed asap.

BTW, how did you wreck your car?

ok the miss is most likely a coil issue......The dash mat thing is a good idea My grandfather sells them but I know you can get them on line.....Im not sure with the ls if there is a cut out around the bag or if it is just cut to lay over it and move out the way if it need to.....(like a skirt)......again whats wrong with the seat belt....the turn signals problem is a combo switch issue....I just bought one from teamfordparts.com (Bill Jenkins) It cost me 90.00 shipped next day....and took about 20 mins or so to install..... So I hope this helps you out good luck

I think trying to drive the car without air bags will cause other issues. Warning lights, etc. I know they are expensive, but I would replace them. I really would. If they have deployed, get the module too. I don't know why, but many say you should replace the module after they deploy. At least I would find out for sure if that's true from a dealer.

I don't know of anyone in their right mind who would attempt to repair a seat belt for you. Too much of a safety issue...and any modification/repair can and will affect the integrity of the belt. Does Dale Earnhardt ring a bell?

As for the turn signals, as was said earlier, sounds like a switch.

1. you should not drive a car the has a miss - it can easily damage your catalytic converters.

2. it is illegal to drive a car that has stock airbags without them. you void your insurance and it is simply dangerous - modern cars reley on the SRS system to keep you safe.

3. are your belts ripped? are the mounts ok?

4. it's is all plastic - if it's broke likely you have to swap it

3. If the car was in a collision severe enough to fire the airbags, it probably also fired the seatbelt pre-tensioners. Those use a small explosive charge to cinch up the seatbelt, and are a one-use part. I'd bet that your seatbelts aren't working properly because of this--it's a signal to get you to replace them, so that's what you need to do. As 2001LS8Sport said, nobody in his right mind is going to attempt a seatbelt repair; there's too much liability. Just replace it.
