ok i have a question about the power steering resevoir and the what i think is the coolant resevoir directly across from it on the passengers side.
ok apparently i have a switch or something missing because when the cars power steering starts to kick in the lines blow off from all the pressure .
a couple of people gave me print outs of the power steering resevoir but it seems something is still wrong. can anyone explain to me where these resevoirs actually hook up? or something. ive been trying to get this right for weeks. any help is very much apprecatied   :(

on the resevoir the FRONT hose (front of car) (smaller hose) is cooler return hose. rear is pump supply hose.

imo, there should not be any substantial pressure is either of the lines running to the resevoir. IIRC, the sytem looks like....fluid goes from resevoir to PUMP. pump pressurises and sends to steering gear. steering returns spent fluid to the fluid cooler. then it returns to the resevoir. There is a power steering pressure switch/solenoid as well on the high pressure line between the pump and the rack. you may need to bleed/purge the system if you have air in the lines.

no I didn't know what you had. i'm pulling diagrams from 03 v8.
