Hey guys , i need the wiring diagrams for the 2004 lincoln ls with navigation. My installer is having trouble with the stereo and cant seem to find the diagrams anywhere. so all you techies help me out........ to be more clear i need to know which wires are the amp remotes and which wires go to which amps because i am utilizing the factory amps and speakers thanks

if you find one pass it on to me yo...ill help look in the meanwhile...

i would hit up auto zone or pep boys something like that found a website for the book but they charge 50.00 for the book...otherwise MAX might be able to snag a couple of pics for ya...??

I know I responded some on the AVIC board, but I'll chime in here too.
I have the 2004 Helm Factory wiring diagram book for the LS. Unfortunately, it is very sketchy about the navigation. It doesn't give any actual diagrams for the navigation option. It does give the pin-outs for the connectors to the navigation DVD unit in the trunk. It also gives it for the 4 channel amplifier. However, it doesn't give anything for the connections to the navigation head unit. Many of the connections are the same as for the normal radio, however the speaker wiring isn't there since it doesn't directly drive any speakers, and it has extra video connections.

I've actually been thinking about this for myself, because I can't find any iPod adapter that works with the 2006 LS navigation. I dislike the F90BT that I put in my wife's LS (the 2004) so much that it is out of the question. I don't know if the Kenwood or the AVIC-Z3 would be the thing to try. The deal killer on the F90BT is how badly the bluetooth works (sound quality).

Anyway, I was thinking that I would look up the wire colors for the connections at the amplifier, and see if I could then find those wires at the headunit. I can send you those (later today) if you would like to give it a try.

ebay:

2004 wiring diagrams for 28 bucks shipped:

I don't know if the 03 ones will work, but I would assume they would since factory nav was an option in 03. Here's that one for like 7.50 shipped:

I can assure that the 2004 one won't do you any good. That's exactly the one I have. It doesn't give the navigation details.

There you go. I know the workshop manuals won't do any good, didn't know about the wiring diagram manuals.

i can get 1 for you on Saturday at my shop do you have a fax just pm it to me.

I looked in my manual and here's all the connector pinouts I could find for the Nav unit (this is for '06 but it's prooobably the same for you)

Sorry for the necro, but I had a question about this radio. I used the wiring from this page to test radio, it was pulled out of a Junk Lincoln LS. I hooked up the main power(1,2,3,15) and grounds(4,13,24)

I can get it to power on, unload cds, even spin up cds, but cannot get anything to display on the screen. Is there a signal it receives from the car itself to display anything on the screen? The rest of the wires appear to be speaker/amp/satnav/clock etc.
Thanks.

The nav headunit (the part you have) is just the CD changer, the radio tuners, some audio path circuits, and the touch screen. All the intelligence is in the DVD unit in the trunk. It's even what provides the video to the screen. If you want to make this work, the DVD/control unit from the trunk is required, as are the amplifiers (that are also in the trunk), and the GPS antenna (in the dash, above and behind the head unit).

Thanks for the response. I actually pulled this from the junkyard, just wanting to flip it on ebay and trying to test it out. Suppose another LS owner could replace their bad unit with it. I grew kind of fond of this car while pulling it apart though!
