I sent dude a full led interior switch conversion including gaugeface and leds
And he hasn't sent back his cores nor has he replied to any of my text :(

And from another member I'm still waiting on the ac/heater control core to be returned and that was like 6 months ago.

I totally feel like **** since I spent more money getting these parts together then what I charge to make a full kit.I made these kits for all you guys with no core charges to make it easier to purchase and now it looks like I'll have to piece together another kit and charge a core fee which makes things harder for both me and LS members.

Wtf why do people have to be like that

I really hate doing this but I don't see another way of securing my cores.

I'm totally bummed

From a business standpoint I'd say you should always have at least been asking for a deposit. I would never trust anyone (even long standing active members on this forum) when it comes to paying for something out of pocket. There have been times when members have been ripped off by other members - even senior members. I recently bought something off someone on this forum, met him up and even took a pic of his license plate as he left just in-case... but hey I'm paranoid about stuff like that.

Who are the members so we all know not to buy or sell anything to them?

That blows I got ****ed over by a guy I sold him a used window motor and regulator for 25 bucks I knew worked he disputed the paypal saying it didn't work and then he disappeared after he got the money back. Like wow people are ****ed up. I only have him the money back to avoid an issue and him slandering me on here. I never had any issues with other sales. Then he says he will even ship it back like oh you mean ship me your bad one you replaced.

I hope everything gets straightned out. I would post the username as to warn others to avoid transactions

People can be dumb sometimes. The few transactions I've had on this site have all went smoothly.

+1 on letting us know who it was.

Well here is the deal, dude had asked for a red kit, coo but that's kinda were it started and I should have known better but instead made the kit without payment, it took dude forever to pay me before I shipped so I actually had to take the kit apart and make another kit for another member, ahhh totally not cool but whatever then he finally came around an apologized an I said coo, send me the money and I'll redo your kit and send it.

Dude paid no problem but then I screwed up in not sending his kit out rightway.
I had all kinds of Crap going on with having to get a second job to pay for my wedding and fixing my broken car that I forgot about his kit.I take full responsibility, it's not his problem not his fault so finally I send the kit and along the way I text him about it saying hey how's your kit,did you install, let me know how you like it.you know stuff like that,I get no response so then I start freaking out.I text him a couple more times about the kit and returning the core and nothing.

Im posting this up to let people know that **** like this happens even to members you think you can trust so with that said

Ls956 and CoreyLS if your reading this please return the cores asap or just hit me up about them but don't leave me hanging when I'm just trying to recover what's mine

thanks man

I really appreciate it;)

Sorry to hear about this. Don't know what the deal is with people trying to screw others up, is it so hard to just be an honest person.

Getting a deposit down would be a smart thing to do. I see it all the time when core exchanges are done, you pay more and get refunded upon return.

Yeah man.I just didn't want to go that route.I mean it's not like I sell a lot of LS kits.lol so losing a full set really really stings but yeah your right bro.I'll have to do it like this

Did they send you a PM or email? I don't see any posts from them......

I know Corey ls pm'd me but LS956

He actually inquired about a red first gen kit on either my old conversion thread or my thread on the instrument cluster led conversion how to but it was one of those.lol

I'll post the link on here of the thread dude was on when I get home.

They both show invalid user using the advanced search function.

That's why they call it a core "charge" ... so people will return stuff in order to get their hard earned cash returned to them.

Always reward people after the fact. never up front. they'll take advantage of others generosity quickly.

It's todays society. Dog eat dog world, in the old days, real man spit in their hands and shook on it and you could take that to the bank.

These days, you'll get clubbed over the back of the head for a pack of smokes or a fresh set of runners.

Always look after #1 first, f*ck the zombies.

Corey 02LS I believe is the other guy or just 02LS but I'm not really worried about him it's 956LS8 I really need my core back from

I feel for ya bro...the audacity of people is outrageous...i totally agree with Big

I'd have two modes of operation:

1) Core charge to cover the cost of getting more (your time + junkyard costs)
2) They ship you their old stuff first before you send out a kit (plus you make sure you don't get junk to begin with)

But I wouldn't use the honor system anymore. There's not too many people around who still have some.

Sorry, but you'll have to put little wings on that one, that lad so broke he couldn't even afford to pay attention.
26yr old, 4 kids trying to make ends meet ( ~ reminds me of some song lyrics, "Why you broke Boy?" )

Trying to restore the ****tiest LS I've ever seen and looking for handouts.

People tried to help him ... Rancho said it best.

Anyhow, sorry about your luck adrst. He may return your text at a later time and try to redeem himself, you never know.

The really sad thing about this is it could very well be a regular board member who wanted what you were doing without paying. A kindly board admin might be able to assist by checking the IP addresses for the posts made by the thieves, and compare them to the IP addresses for the rest of us to see if thief was another member with a second ID. Don't stop with one either, some folks post from more than one. I, for example, post from both home and work.

I'd suggest you start doing it on a pre-pay basis, with paper checks rather than FraudPal. Tell buyers that the checks must clear the bank before the parts will be shipped, and the honest people will be willing to wait. On FraudPal, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they don't just keep the money from any disputed sales and tell both parties they lost the dispute.

...i totally agree with Big

You must be new around here ... I wouldn't agree

with me, others will not like it.

Who cares what the "others" think ;) lol but in all honesty, like the old saying " dont take it personal, but i dont trust anybody" live by it unless u personally know them, and then even then nowadays, still keep a keen eye on them. . Sad but true
