I want an aftermarket deck

Has anyone replaced the Stock deck yet? if so how much did it cost you and what could you fit in there. I cant stand the stock deck, i have the single cd in the 2004 ls and i want to do that and some door speakers. any ideas??

i went with a Pioneer Avic-N1 cost me about 1800 for the deck, install, rca jacks and plugs under the glovebox, and kept the steering wheel control... theres others on here with different stuff, and some with the double din units that look pretty nice... they will chime in shortly

see i have a silver dash, do they make an insert that comes in that color? and was it expensive?

All of the dash kits come black. I have the silver also and got an automotive paint shop to color match my dash and they put the paint into a spray can and I was able to paint the kit to match.

Was it hard to get the PS2 installed in the glove box. That looks good.

not at all... just had to cut the plastic inside the glovebox a little bit for it to fit... was very easy to do... i love drivin around listenin to music and havin a movie playin at the same time... you cant hear the movie, but its still cool

whats it mean for the headunit to be double din ?

the factory radio is a double din....(almost) and the one you see here is a single din....its the size of the case of the radio....most people buy a dash install kit and put an aftermarket signle din radio in....
