This may have already been posted, though, I had some trouble understanding what some people were trying to do with their systems. Here is what I want to do and tell me if it will work.
I have the stock system with 4 door speakers. What I would like to do is install some speakers in my rear deck and my thoughts were as follows........I was thinking of buying a small amp (100W-200W) and using that to power the speakers in the rear deck. Wiring to the amp would be as follows: Splice into the remote wire for the factory amp for the new amp and connect the spliced-in wire to the new amp, buy a converter to solve having no RCA outputs and run that to the amp. From there, I would run a wire to my battery (with an in-line fuse) and make a ground for it. After that, I was thinking of installing 2 6X9's in the rear decklid where i would have speakers if I had the audiophile system.
Are 6X9's going to sound bad with a 100W-200W amp hooked up to them? I would really like to save some trunk space and don't really want to put an enclosure there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
