because someone out there has to have done this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks again.

To those who have a magnaflow exhaust...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

with the 3.9L I have a couple questions for you. I have this exhaust on my car and am thinking about removing the resinators. My questions are :

1. Has anyone removed their resinators?
2. If so how much louder is it?
3. If resinators are removed will there be a loss of power?

I appreciate any responses and TIA. Cheers!

Oh btw has anyone added tips to a 2000 w/o the cutouts? If so what did you use. Thanks again.

the main purpose of a resinator is to quiet the sound of the exhaust. you should not have a power loss at all.

Check this post for the tips.

The resonators dont make much difference in HP, taking them out adds deepness to the exhaust and the annoying hum in the cabin. I would keep the resonators if you go with Magnaflow. The mufflers will add enough rumble.
