yea rear sway bar link. The half shaft gives it away that it's in the rear.

sry guys, should have mentioned it was the rear. Andrizzle, is rockauto the best place to get both of them? i'm use to buying everything form Maxx. thanks

Yup that's them. You can just search your LS year on rockautos catalogand click suspension and find the parts u need. It is really simple to find what you need on there. And from my experience they have the best prices around. And they ship fast as balls.

Yea I had some front endlinks replaced at Firestone and that's what they used. I'm thinking about replacing the rears also. I'm talking to a guy right about trying to make a bushing set for our cars.

so i'm assuming it's as easy as it looks to change out these rear sway bar links right? i only see two screws, pretty straight forward? Andrizzle, while rockauto had a better price i went with Max, just because i am doing a full tune up and i wanted to change out my valve cover gaskets. i rather pay one ship price. thanks for the link though, it might come in handy down the road. speaking of tune up, what would be some of things you guys would replace? i'm thinking of doing the hydraulic fan and power steering liquids. i will wait on the brake fluid due to me wanting to get the SS lines. what else? thanks guys

Shipping from max... hah that's not too promising.. ;]

Anyways, I guess you got OEM and not Moog since you ordered from max?

hey i've had Max ship me my lower ball joints in 2 days. i did go with the OEM, again, because i had to get the VCG's. it just didn't make sense to me to buy them somewhere else. how are those Moog's though? you feel a difference? do they look more heavy duty?

Yes, it is.

You should use a torque wrench if you can.

thanks for the link. you always have those cool diagrams, did you buy the cd manual? also, in the link it says to put it in neutral and then hoist, i do not have a hoist, so do i have to jack it up or can it be on the ground?

How much did the ball joints run ya with shipping

Yea the Mood parts are about 2x as beefier. And they won't dry out and crack like the OEM do with age, they have a regreasable boot that covers the actual joints.

I can't recall. It was well over a year ago, maybe even two. Call Max and he'll hook you up

I f'ed up then, Lol. Oh well. I don't plan to have it long enough for them to crack again. Ill listen next time though ;-)

yes...moog in the rears is the way to go. the rubber boots are better, the steel is thicker and they are greaseable. the Deeza front links have the same boot and are greaseable like the moog's and are thicker too. i havent tried em yet but the Deeza are around 1/2 the price of the Moog front links and 'look' just as good

Rick I'd probably put new spark plugs in too if you haven't lately.

i replaced my spark plugs not long ago. i but some iridium plugs, but when i open everything up i'm going to see what needs changing. i really hope i don't need to replace any coils.

wrt the sway bar links. can someone help me out with this? (i just copy/pasted from an earlier post):
