Idle air control replacement

My 2002 ls 3.9 had cel on so brought it to be checked out, turns out to be iac code so I just replaced it with motorcraft iac and gasket. So i unpluged the negitive battery cable for about an hour and drove it and light came back on, so i decided to have a garage clear the code with scanner and it came on again. I dont know why the light keeps coming on anybody have any ideas

Yes, it keeps coming back on because you have not fixed the problem. Those obdII codes never say to replace part X. They are just the start of diagnosing a problem. Why don't you post the exact five character code that you are getting, and maybe we can help point you to what you need to test.

Iac code not there anymore. It's now reading code b1896, p1000, and p0113 is on there twice

B1896 - Door ajar lamp battery short

p0113 -ntake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High Bank 1 (This is the one causing the light to come on)

p1000 - just means that you recently disconnected the battery or cleared codes.

I noticed that the intake air temp sensor was unplugged while I was changing air filter. Hahaha I guess I overlooked that
