First, does anyone know of the absolute best most detailed repair manual that exists for a 2006 Lincoln LS with LOTS and LOTS of pictures? Really could give a s*** less how much it costs at this point. Can't find any information on a good one through here or Google.

Second, I'm a girl and suck with cars but I'd really like to try and do crap like this by myself. How in the hell do you get to the idler pulley? Do you have to disconnect the top radiator hose and flush the antifreeze? Or is there an easier way?

Finally, this is the noise I'm dealing with. The tensioner pulley and serpentine belt were replaced back in July if that counts for anything. BEWARE HEADPHONE USERS. I have two videos. One of what it sounds like when inside the car and one in front of the engine.

Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There sure is something sexy about a girl doing car repairs!!!! You don't need to remove the upper hose. This makes it a lot easier!!!

Try here.... I have it bookmarked.

I could certainly be wrong, but it doesn't sound like a failing idler to me. It sounds more like the power steering pump. Maybe you could take the belt off and spin each thing by hand to find it.
You don't need to remove any hoses to change the belt or the idlers. The tool above will help you release the tension from the tensioner, but you can just use a normal pull handle or big socket wrench instead.
I've changed the idler and the tensioner before without taking the hoses off. It's a big pain to squeeze in there, but it is doable. The service manual that was linked to is the only one you will find. It has some drawings, but no pictures.

I agree.... Check your P/S fluid level.....
