Illuminated door sills

Anybody get these yet? I'll be picking up my new MKS in a couple weeks and want to get these installed asap. These are an OEM accessory. So is a "mood lighting" kit, which turns the interior all different shades. Anybody pimp their ride with these items?

i wqnted to do the mood lighting deal on my LS but ford couldnt figure out the exact parts i would need. so i gave up. my GF has it in her mariner and its cool s h i t

max, is this the mood lighting kit that is in the mercury mariner as well?? and does this come with the lighting control module and all the led lights

This is a similar kit, different part number, but just as for the MKS it is a complete kit.

The Mercury Milan also offers the mood lighting as an available option. The Mercury website has pictures and a video of the lighting, along with all the color choices. I like the purple haze! See the "Ambient Lighting" video on this page:

Well, overall, the current MKS doorsills look more like the first generation LS (2000-2002). These had small LINCOLN lettering on a metal plate which was attached to a larger plastic sill. Second Gen LS cars (2003-2006) had much larger lettering on the sills.

The front doors of the MKS are a good bit shorter than the LS front doors, so that makes the sills shorter too. I really don't think the MKS illuminated door sills will fit on the LS, at least not without heavy modification.
