My business is booming. I need to spend more time taking advantage of the opportunities I have.
I have found that coming on to the site daily and dealing with the constant negativity that is trumpeted and relished by a few here leaves me feeling negative also.
I have enjoyed most of the time spent here communicating with those on the right and a few of you on the left. However, it is not worth it for me to log off the site in a poorer mood than when I logged on.
I know many of you, especially on the right, have already come to that conclusion which is why you no longer participate.
This is not a surrender. This is a realization that I am a happy-go-lucky guy for the most part and try to have a positive outlook on life on a daily basis.
Somehow having to deal with the constant barrage of negative media attacks and the intentional mis-reporting of the news has lead me to realize that I am happier not listening to the crap. I just as soon go on living my life without the worry of what the media says I should think.
Bush is a great President. I understand the position he took on the port deal. I hope the UAE cancels their Boeing contract for $10 billion. Lots of people will probably lose their jobs. I hope America is finally told that Red China already OWNS ports on the west coast. I hope Americans are finally told that the Panana Canal is in the hands of the 'enemy' already.
To demonstrate what I mean...here's what Clinton said when he was trying to turn the Panama Canal over to the Chinese.
Asked by a reporter, "You’re not worried about the Chinese controlling the Canal?" Mr. Clinton replied: "I think the Chinese will, in fact, be bending over backwards to make sure that they run it in a competent and able and fair manner.... I would be very surprised if any adverse consequences flowed from the Chinese running the canal."
The following day, December 1, Los Angeles Times staff writer Norman Kempster wrote that "Clinton administration officials were aghast at the president’s use of the phrase ‘running the canal,’” which confirmed what Adm. Moorer and his allies were charging. " On December 9, Mr. Clinton stated that his reference the previous week to China "running the canal" was a "misstatement."
And the media let's Clinton's statement pass.
So I guess it is the media's lack of integrity in reporting the news and the unhappy people on this board that have taken the fun out of it for me. If someone wants to volunteer to be a 'moderator' on this forum, I'll pass a recommendation on to Joey.
In the meantime, have fun and take it easy on each other. Respect should come first. Politics second.
Me, I am going to chase my dream. The opportunity lies in front of me. It is time to grab it and run with it. I realize that for me to be at my best, I should not be sniping and arguing which only serves to negatize me.
Good luck guys. I'll be back when things slow down business-wise and I'll make sure to lurk now and then. Take care.
