So me and the girlfriend went to the antique store the other day and in one of the display cases they had a sega genisis, and a super NES.

Hell, I don't have the slightest idea what a "sega genisis" is.
Also, what the hell is a super NES?

i'm 22 and i feel old...i had to dj a sweet 16 today and half the stuff i played (by request for some reason) was out and died down before the kids there were even born, more surprisingly they knew all the words lol...that made me feel old, and i'm not old.

Yeah I just recently bought a house and I have to redo my deck, damn I am getting old, I remember when Mortal Combat was the :q:q:q:q on Genesis
 
Oh man... I remember when SNES came out and we thought the graphics were SO good! I never had 1, just a regular NES, and I still use it from time to time. Mine is hooked up to 5.1 surround sound, OOOOOOOHH!!!!! :lol:
 
When I was at school, we used to fight over Commodore Amiga Vs Sega Megadrive. (I was an Amiga fan)

Before that, i had a Sinclair Spectrum +2, which was generally considered to be superior to the rival Commodore 64. Loading tapes sucked and took forever! Lol.

First and last program I ever wrote was for that Spectrum, using B.A.S.I.C. - took like 3 hours and all it did was draw a flag! Lol.

Maybe you are younger than I thought, so everything I said went over your head?

Surely, you have heard of the Sega Megadrive (rival to the SNES) - just like the Sega Master System and Master System II were rivals to the NES?
 
silly brit! i think it was the "genesis" stateside that was against the snes, not exactly sure didnt have any game systems till i was 20~ish my friends did so i played theres. i remember my buddys turbo graphics 64!!
 
Ah... so Genesis is the American name for the Megadrive? Never knew that! Lol.
 
I remember saving up to get the nes! Damm, that was a long time ago! Remember it came with "duck hunt" lol! Many days were spent playing super mario brothers,zelda, spyhunter......and the list goes on! Starting to feel old at almost 32....s*it!!!!
 
I remmeber my cousin sending me a game from russia for my genesis, and the case of the cartridge had to be taken apart so it could fit in the american slot. The russian one had rounded edges while the american one had like semi round going to square with indentation edges.
 
Those were the days!!! I use to take all my friends money all the time playing Tecmo Bowl! Couldn't be beat!!
