Improving the ride in my Ride

I am looking for (relatively) inexpensive ways to improve the ride/handling in my '01 Signature Series. The front shocks were replaced (OEM) back in May, and the rear air suspension works fine.

One of the ways I am considering now is switching out the regular tyres with the ones that are for 2000-02 Cartier L series.

Any thoughts?
