First my window fell down into the door. Then my a.c. started blowing hot air and the passenger side of the dual control is flashing 60 degrees on and off and now I'm getting a service parking break message. Could these things all somehow be related? Like an electrical short because of the window?

Less than a year old.

Is it the correct one for the car? Is the vent tube connected? Did you have the charging system tested?

Anyway...

1. First my window fell down into the door. This is not an uncommon issue. Your window regulator has broken and will have to be replaced. It is not a very difficult DIY.

2. Then my a.c. started blowing hot air This could be a lot of things, but it is probably a failed DCCV. If so, the DCCV will have to be replaced, and you need to use the $100 OEM part and not the $50 aftermarket part. The OEM part lasts for several years. The aftermarket lasts for a few months.

3. the passenger side of the dual control is flashing 60 degrees on and off That's a new one on me.

4. now I'm getting a service parking break message. This can be caused by lots on things, but in your case I am going to guess that it is being caused by electrical noise from the failed DCCV. (It happens.)

Thanks joe. I'm away from home so it's going to a shop in the morning. I'll update what they say.

I pulled a hvac code of 12 98 which is driver side dccv to ground so I think you are correct.
