Inheirited 97 TC

I have recently inheirited a family members 97 Town Car. It only has 40K original miles on it! I was scared to drive it home the other day because it still had the original factory tires on it!

Anyways, Just rolling around with a tape deck is not going to cut it. My question is what size stereo fits in this thing? Can I install a double din radio? I have a kenwood DNX7140 that I would like to install but I am not sure of the fit.

What kind of stereo do you have? Can you post some pics in this thread of your aftermarket stereo installed?

Search "double din 97 towncar" on any search engine and you'll find what ur looking for.

And if the tires aren't dry rotted i wouldn't worry about it..But at 40k they prob only have at best 20k left on em..

No unfortunatley it does not have the 10 disk changer in the trunk or the subwoofer. I see the hole where I think the subwoofer goes. In the middle of the rear deck? Any one have a pic of what it looks like with the sub in there?

I was going to sell this car, but after driving it for a few days I am becoming a Lincoln fan. Time to slab it!
