Inside Driver Door Handle Broken

I am looking for an inside driver door handle for my '00 LS (V8). The handle is cracked and it is difficult to open the door...it will soon break off. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement. I have tried the auto parts dealers in my area with no luck. I live in Ottawa, Canada. If I can order it from the U.S it would be fine.

Yes - this happens frequently on 00-02 LSes - the handle was redesigned in 03.

I have replaced mine - I'll get you the partnumber when I get home.

I is held on with three 1/4" rivets - the rivet gun is larger than you can buy at Home Depot - so you either rent one - or do what I did and replace the rivets with screws.

I did mine about 3 weeks ago. I paid $63.74US at my local dealer. I'm sure Bill Jenkins at www.teamfordlv.com can beat that. The p/n is YW4Z-5421819-AA. And like Lou said, you'll need an industrial strength rivet gun for the install. Rent one if you can, the rivetor is ~$235US at the local NAPA.

i just had mine replaced about a month ago ... i paid 120 for the part and labour at the dealership i think the handle itself was about 50 dollars.
