Inspection tomorrow, advice needed!

So my inspection expires tonight and i have a CEL for P0705 along with the E on the dash. My question is would the SST swap cause this to happen? My car did not come with select shift but I installed it anyway and it seems to work fine as long as the E is not displayed on the dash. Could this be caused by a wrongly adjusted shifter cable going to the transmission range sensor? I noticed that it would only give the E when the car is in Drive, all other gears are fine.

A few other things:

I cannot use the SST function when E is displayed
If the dash shows E and i put the car in Neutral, 3rd, Reverse, or Park, the E goes away and the respective gear shows.
Reverse is delayed when E is shown.

Yes, it seems that you probably have your DTR out of adjustment. There's a special tool used to set it correctly, but you might try moving it slightly one way or the other and see if the problem goes away or gets worse. If it gets worse, try moving it in the other direction.
