Alright I have a few questions...

Is it hard to install the Hoen Bulbs?

Is it necessary to have the connectors?

Has anyone installed the high beam bulbs in the fog lights?

Look in your owner's manual or in the tech article section here on LvC to find out how to change the bulbs out. It's very simple. Just unplug the connector and twist the bulb out. Nothing to it.

As for the Hoen bulbs, it is recommended that you use the heavy duty connectors with either the H11 or 9006 Xenonmatch Plus bulbs. The other Xenonmatch bulbs are just plug and play. There seems to be some confusion on that. Here is a breakdown on the Hoen bulbs and whether or not you need the HD connectors:

H11 Xenonmatch Plus (HD connectors recommended)
9006 Xenonmatch Plus (HD connectors recommended)
9005 Xenonmatch Plus

H11 Xenonmatch
9006 Xenonmatch
9145 Xenonmatch
(the 9005 Xenonmatch bulb is not available)

9145 All-Weather Fog Light

I hope that clears up any confusion.

Thanks Ken. Are the Plus bulbs any harder to install? Are the connectors hard to install, any splicing?

the hoen + bulbs are 80 watt, I'm running some no name 100W lights with the stock connectors. They look great. Definitly brigher, using the stock connectors, if theres that much current that it will damage the connectors than it will damage the wiring, and fuses will start blowing before wires and connectors get damaged. I wouldnt change the connectors if I were you. These have been in there for 4 months with no issues, even after 5+ hour non stop night time roadtrips.

(Hint: New bulb is on the right.)

Alright thanks man, that looks real nice. Did you upgrade those fog lights?

I actually have a cracked foglight, still need to buy a new one, it has moisture and the fogs look like :q:q:q:q when they're on, so till I get a new light I just keep them off
