i was wondering about the 00 ls system. im installing new speakers in the door and need to know if the factory amp will be able to push them or does it have built in crossovers. if so do i have to bypass the amp and does the factory radio have power. also has any1 put speakers in the back deck, if so what size and kind. did you put a mid range driver back there or jsut a regular speaker. im putting in boston rx 87s now ($50 off ebay for 2 pair), sould i buy the boston nt series for the back. and last off should i just get an amp

1) depends on which factory system you have. The top of the line audiophile option was a very nice head unit - it drove the four door speakers. IMHO, you do not have to change the headunit - just put in better speakers.

2) depends -the autiophile system used a seperate amp for the rear subs and a seperate amp for the console speakers (to create DSP). so yes.

3) depends -the autiophile system is a 180w system with a 85w rear amp.

4) once you upgrade your door speakers you'll likely need more bass. I recommend upgrading the rear amp and replacing the rear subs. I run two 12" sub-woofers powered by a seperate 1000w amp.

5) answered above.
