Instead of airbox

I saw someone make there own custom cold air intake for a 94 continental.. well i dont want to do that.. and i cant seem to find any ways to make my car have a little more muscle.. but i was wondering if i could take the airbox out and put a filter like one of these http://www.nopionline.com/promo/no1filters.cfm?vh=1 on instead... maybe just to make it look cool... and how would gettin rid of the air duct under my fender impact my intake.. Would it give more airflow or not?
 
I think we fabricated an intake for this model as a one off at some point. Post an overhead image of your engine bay/ airbox area and I will see what we can do for you.

No experience with the V6 model, but it appears you could calmp a filter direct to the MAF. Just be sure to use a quality filter such as K&N or the S&B filters that we sell. The link for the units you posted earlier would not provide an adequate filtration job.
 
so where would i clamp the filter,,, right in place wheere the airbox was connected?

And do you have an online store i can look at.. i dont see a link?
 
I put an reactive air intake on my 1993 Lincoln Continental from a Honda SI 2000 a littl bit of mod work but very easy. It will not gain much power that I noticed but it gives it a better sound and will help a little with the gas mileage. If you need any help let me know I may have a few parts laying around here from when I used it.

Our replacement filters are shown at; http://www.kustomz.com/cat3.html

You would need filter part# R350005PS and would have to fabricate a bracket for support of the MAF once the stock airbox is removed.
