;) Before I make my car more beautiful, I really want to get the most performace out it that I can. I've heard I things as small as adding a performance chip to as big as doing a tranny swap to manual. I'd really like to upgrade to a nice intake and exhaust but I'm unsure which is best? Does anyone have any good suggestions? And how do you feel about the K&N intake and a magna flow exhaust? I like how quiet the exhaust is, but lets be real, I'd like it better if I heard alot more. Thanks for your help. MUA to you all! XOXO.

IIRC, you said you have an '05 V6. In that case, MagnaFlow doesn't make an exhaust for your LS...yet. They only made one prototype for the '03-'06 LS, and after achieving at best a ~5hp gain, didn't market it. That, apparently, has changed, and they're reportedly preparing to bring it to market Really Soon Now (within weeks is what I've heard reported).

On the intake side, your only real choice is the KKM True Rev kit, unless the K&N Typhoon or Aircharger kits will fit the V6. From what I've heard, the K&N Typhoon and Aircharger both beat the KKM in the performance area, but the KKM costs significantly less.

Ok...we have discussed this about 80 thousand times since I've been a member here, and about a million BEFORE i was a memeber here. SEARCH, there are about a million threads on it.

Hey thanks for the info! I appreciate your patience unlike j3ff here who thinks everyone has sooo much time to do searches and read tons of threads. unfortunately i dont. So thank you for being so kind as to helping me out. Ill definently check that out. Thank you.

Wouldn't that make 1,080,001? Just messin with ya

check out lskoncepts.com best page out there for LS upgrades. I suggest getting the Xcal2, CAI, and cat back exhaust. that will help your performance a lot :)

We discuss performance about once a week, maybe we need to make a sticky.

Yea, just get smart.

That'll make it all better.

Well, at least we haven't had a "What do you think of these 20's" post in a little while... so there is hope :D

Would you like us to wipe your a** too? It doesn't take that long to do a search for something like this.........and if you have the time to think about a question like you asked, post a thread, and then wait for someone to respond to it, you more than likely have the time to do a quick search and find what you're looking for. So again I ask, would you like us to wipe your a** too........or do you not have the time to do that too?

Wow, I want to thank you for making this experience so nice for me. Its good to see how people treat each other when someones in a learning process. I would think to recieve more credit for being a woman and actually taking the iniative TO learn this stuff. And NO, Mr. Vulgar, I dont expect you to "Wipe my ass" too, gee, thats so nice...thank you. I did actually do searches and I even searched old threads on the intake and exhaust topic. Theres actually not much information available. I was looking for some advice from people with actual experience in altering their intake and exhaust. I've read the ads on the K&N and the KKM and they seem pretty similar except that the K&N is more expensive, other then that, they seem pretty much the same. I want to thank all the nice guys who took the time to help me out, believe it or not, you guys taught me a thing or two, thank you. Have a nice day. ~Jerrica~

WTF??!! That is NOT an acceptable answer. If you dont want to help, then dont post. But dont talk like that to any LVC member.

Do a search for the fabbed heat shield for the KKM. This will get it on par with the K&N for alot less money. I still think the K&N might give you more HP but the KKM will save you money. However, seeing that you are a women I would recommend upgrading your blinker fluid to the new hipo stuff. It is much lighter and you can tap it into you injectors and its better and safer then NOS :D

Dude, that is so wrong...
Just because the person posting is a woman, doesn't me that she is a total idiot.
I've taught my wife enough that she would rip you a new one if you tried that kind of crap with her.

You may be the big shark, but she is more like a pack of piranhas when you get her mad with something like that.
its a good thing I don't let her on this forum.

Allow me to rephrase then. It might go something like this.........

Hey Blueyedqt85, this topic has been covered numerous times in the past. In order to give yourself the best possible answer from members who have experimented with these sorts of modifications in the past, do a quick search and see if you come up with anything. I understand that we all lead busy lives, but if we can't learn from the past trials and tribulations of other members who have come and gone from this forum and whose expertise is no longer available, you are really limiting your options.

So, I apologize for my vulgarity. It was not meant to offend you or anyone else. In fact, it was meant as a suggestion to get new members here to use the search option to find what they are looking for and then ask questions if they cannot find what they are looking for.

HAHAHA I figured this chick would get the joke!! As far as a pack of piranhas, aren't they all? Seriously though, I think she should check out the fabbed heat shield thread. Some good info and ideas with the KKM intake.

Yeah, I think the intake is a good thread to send anyone to.
As for the other stuff. If they leave the door open a crack, I'm gonna use it too.

But I would not throw out that Blinker Fluid crack when she already seems to have some base knowledge.
I mean how many women out there have the vaguest idea as to what intakes, heads, exhaust and chips are?

Thats why I did throw out the blinker fluid crack. She seemed to know a few things so I didn't think she'd take me serious. I don't want to intentially mislead someone into looking like a fool or damage thier ride (it sucks, I've had things like that happen to me). Plus from her pervious posts it seemed like she had a sense of humor and might get a laugh from my post. Since a few other members were being a holes to her. I was not trying to be a jerk about it.
