What options do we have on upgrading are intakes im just talking the tube that connects to the throttle body to to the maf to the filter, could we slap on a mac or bbk intake from a cobra could it be done, the only ones i see are ones from lms and stuff like that and i like the idea of a 150 dollar intake on jegs then a 300 dollar intake from lms. What can we do. And also I was at a gas station and this guy in a green 95 mark vIII pulled in and it sounded good i talked to the guy and he said he bought it with the exhuast and he just got the car i looked under all they did was cut out the resonator put a flowmaster in its place and cut out the old mufflers and put new tips on that was it but it sounded really good like a 5.0 but little more suttle not as much bellow but good idle, I was suprised to see just a flowmaster making that noise i bet it sound even better with 3rd cat removed oh yeah stock pipes too, wow i went off topic, lmao.

Look at the throttle body placement of the Cobra intake and the gen 1 intake and you will see why it will not work.

I think you can do it but you would need to make one. If you cut the stock intake tube off before the downward bend above the TB, maybe an inch before the sheet metal at the rear of the engine compartment. You would need to measure the outide of the tube and try to match the the new tube as close as possible. Then find a shop with a mandral bender to match the curves. Then mash the thing in the right spots to match the shape of the old tube at the TB and where it would hit the hood when closed. Connect the new stainless tube to the plastic intake tube with rubber connectors and hose clamps. Alot of work but would sure look good compaired to the stock intake tube.

Maybe I will try it myself in the future.
