sounds really good. Were did you find all the tubing?

He bought that off of e-bay, right.

Hey Dustin, will that V6 smoke the tires with the mods you have?

Dude, what the Hell........I'm just kidding. I knew you were expecting to hear from me. I've been very quiet lately. Nothing wrong with that video, in fact it seems alittle boring :N I have the same car with the airbox mod and it sounds pretty close. I am amazed at how the V6 growls at WOT. But none the less :Beer

I have the FAMOUS clock spring problem I am ordering the spring friday....

I only have the intake and It will not spin the tires for :q:q:q:q only if there is a little bit of water or dirt then it brakes loose......
I am very impressed with the intake I love the sound.....
As far as the car off the light It is a little better but still has a long way to go....

Still waiting on my bottle brackets to get them in the car??? Guy lives four hours away and its been almost two weeks!!!WTF

hmmm, I'm building the intake for my car, have tubing and a tig here etc.... something very similar. can't wait to hear what it sounds like on my 8. especially with the magnaflow's going on in a couple weeks.

Back in the 90s, a similar web forum discovered that they got more power by using plastic pipes and by boxing the K&N and adding ducting to a cool air source. I forget the actual hp increase, but several guys ran "before and after" dyno tests using chrome vs plastic and ducted air. There was a significant improvement.

The chrome pipes look cool, but they absorb a lot of underhood heat. The Open K&N is sucking up nothing but hot underhood air.

So if you want maximum performance, use plastic and get some cool air to the K&N. Don't believe me? Go to the drags and watch guys ice their intakes.

Good Luck,
Jim Henderson

I don't know Jim...I agree with CAI but having a SS intake tube will have little effect on the air temp. The incoming air just isn't in the tube long enough to leech any heat from the steel. That and the entire intake manifold is hot anyway so what would having a cool intake tube matter?
