I just got Tyler's intake and I have a question. Does anyone have an LSE with the LSKoncepts intake?

I was going to mount the extra tube to help airflow in the lower front grill but with the LSE there is a covering over the bottom of the front of the car so the only way to get in there is to take off the covering I was wondering if there is an easier way.

thanks

all LSes have the splash guards - you have to remove it to get in there.

thanks Quik

I dont have a way to raise my car at all. Can I take it off with out raising the car?

thanks

oh sh!t duh I never thought of that. Alright I will give it try once again thanks for the help

Make sure you put something under the car to keep it from falling on you... jack stands are good.

I used a jack...and I couldn't figure out how to remove that entire shrowd without wrecking it so I just cut out a big enough hole to fit the airbox piece behind the grill. LOL! Probably not the best idea but it didnt really matter because about two weeks later I bottomed out and tore the whole shrowd off anyways. Cost me $100 for a new one from the dealership.

Its this big shrowd that covers your entire front underside. Its as wide as the front of the car and about two feet long. If you reach directly under the front of your car you should feel it right away. I believe it is mostly their to protect ur radiator and other parts from water/debri damage.

Oh, yea that's what I was thinking. I'm not sure if I want to do that or not. I drive the lincoln through so much weather. I may cut a hole like you did. So the pipe you are using to do this, did you curve it down?

I used a 3-inch piece of tube from Auto Zone. It was a plastic "slinky" style one. Pardon the childlike decription but I don't know of any technical term for it. I think it was 2 /12 or 3 feet long but either way it bends and extends so it didnt matter. It was a bitch to get the thing in their facing the right way. Also make sure u place a piece of mesh over the opening if you do it to prevent leaves and stuff getting in their. Their is a thread on the exact "how-to" somewhere. I also relocated my license plate offcenter to allow for more air to flow through. Looks funny but oh well.
