Intergrated Phone cradle

So my 2002 LS has this intergrated phone in the armrest. This thing is basically useless to me since I dont have the correct phone, Timeport I think?

Are there any mods I can make to this to use with a different phone?

Any way to get the radio not to 'time out' when car is first started to say 'no portable' ?

Im thinking of just ripping it out so I can have a use for the storage in the arm rest.

Thoughts?

i took mine out the day i got it. its useless and there no way to hook it up to your existing phone. the manufactors do this so you have to use it. ive talked to all the local phone, car audio, custom car places in stl. and they ay it impossible. i wanted to hook my charger up in there and have my lg 7000 run throught the system but its not possible. i asked Quik a while ago if there was any way to make it so it doesnt say those messages when you start the car, its soo damn anoying

Well good, so Im not alone Well i have a feeling I am going to rip the radio out anyhow, so thats not a HUGE deal. It looks like that thing un-clips and I am done, is that true?

theres 2 wires that come off and it just unclips its a 2 sec. process

I want to take off that phone ant. too but not sure if I should leave it for resale? I dono... did u leave that on?
