I had my windshield replaced (cracked in the snow). Now I need to clean it but was wondering what was the best material to use. Before I used paper towels but I noticed that they left hairline scratches that showed up at night when headlights glared into my vision. I usually use windex but I read a thread on here that said Stoner's glass cleaner was very good so I will try that, but what should I use instead of paper towels? I figured a terry cloth but I didn't know if that would wipe the grime off or leave a glare on the windshield.

Stoner's Invisible Glass with either a windshield microfiber towel/cloth or you can use newspaper that won't leave any fiber residue.

Yes, this is a good solution. Just about any alcohol-based glass cleaner in combination with a microfiber towel will get the window glass as clean as its going to get.

I own my own detailing company and we use Stoners and newspaper. Just be careful if you have cloth pillars cause the ink will leave marks if it gets wet.
Newspaper works the best though, won't leave any streaks or residue.

I never heard of useing newspaper, I'm gonna give it a try. Thanks, guys

RED you own your own detailing company? You've been holding out on me . . . can you hook a fellow LVC member up? I wanna get ready for the nice weather. Let me know drop me a PM or whatever.

I am about ready to open again. My company is all mobile and it is hard to make any money during the winter. I will let you know as soon as I get started again.

mobile detailer is a great idea do you doing any minor touch ups? I have a couple of scratches I want fixed. If you need any printing for your co. let me know, I work at my brothers print shop-we could work out a trade

Head down to the local WalMart; in the automotive section, they have a bundle of eight blue microfiber towels for $5. They work wonders on LS glass, with or without cleaner. I can also heartily recommend Stoner's Invisible Glass.

Armor All auto glass cleaner also works really well. I use it to clean my house as well. It's good for cleaning the interior as well, not too abrasive.

Yeah, it's either Stoner's or else. and yoi dont wanna know what else. Smears and etc. Bas stuff, get the Invisible glass.

LMAO, I guess I'm not the only ghetto one using newspaper. It works great for any glass and leaves no streaks. Not to mention... It's CHEAP!
