hey guys, i recently purchased another LS for parts. The "new" one came with memory and heated seats while mine didn't. i just wanted to know what would I have to do to get them working in my LS? Do all LS's come pre-wired or would I have to do my own wiring? I'd love to have these options available before I scrap it.
Please provide some input here, thanks very much!

not sure... but the pigtails for the heated seats would be near the ash try (obviously)... might be worth opening up and looking around

The heated seats should work in the new vehicle; they're stand alone, but you'll need everything from the donor vehicle. I actually have all the parts for this in my basement as a summer project for my 2000/LS.

If I recall correctly the seat memory function will not work without a software flash from the dealer, even with the parts installed.

Software reflash of the PCM? I thought the DDM was responsible for the seats. Or are you refering to the DDM? The car its coming from is a v8 and its going into a v6.

I did manage to successfully connect the auto mirror
to the v6 but there is some black fluid like substance in the mirror rendering it useless

Probably the DDM and the cluster (if you want the memory functions for the steering wheel position).

The heated seats went in without a hitch. The only thing that had to be changed was the wiring harness at the shifter and that pretty much was plug and play operation. But I do have one small problem. The drivers side seat warmer does not engage; the light at the switch does not turn on. Is there any wiring differences? Both switches work with the backlight illumination however.

EDIT: I did notice that the drivers seat had a small black connector with a few wires hanging out of it. Could that be the reason why? If so, where does it plug into?
