I made a post before about this and I'm starting to get serious about it.
I want to swap out all of my interior fake, plastic wood grain, with real wood.
I was wondering if anyone here knew much about the interior of the LS and how the parts are attached.
For example, on the door's, the LS has the strip of "wood" by the door handles. How is that attached? How can it be removed? I assume the entire inside of the door panel would need to be removed to get it off? Or is it glued?
My other question is the steering wheel. The wood part of the steering wheel, how can that be removed and re-wrapped in the veneer of my choice? Is it even possible?
If I could figure this stuff out it would be great. I'd like to re-do my interior with either zebra wood or rose wood, those pictures do not do the wood species justice, they are AMAZING in real life. And, I'd like to perhaps stain it same color as my interior or maybe the same color as my paint.
Anyway, if anyone knows how the fake wood trim is attached/comes off in a LS, please let me know. Thanks.
