I've got an alternator whine that comes and goes, often with bumps in the road. I've noticed that when the whine is present, the front "imaging" tweeters drop in level significantly. I do have an aftermarket head unit with the Meta harness adapter. All connections between the adapter and the radio harness are soldered.
My first thought is loose ground for the tweeter amp, but it's stock. I might have a lose speaker wire in the back at the rear deck subs, but can alternator whine be introduced from the output side of the amp? Any other ideas?
