Just checking the group to see if anyone has had this problem. On three separate occasions now, my LS has failed to start , after running for a while. The first time I jump started and everything was fine. The second time it happened I got the following errors on the message center after jump starting the motor. "Foot on Brake" Engage Parking Brake" "Service parking Brake" the light on the Parking brake button remains on. The dealer found low voltage error codes, but was not able to determine the cause. They reset the computer and the error messages went away. Today, I came out of a local store after shopping for about 30 min and when I tried to start the car the alarm went off and it would not start. A jump start worked, but the error messages on the message center returned. Another trip to the dealer and the Battery tests OK. They are keeping it overnight to try to find the actual cause of the Low Voltage condition. Anyone with help on this subject would be appreciated as the Ford Maint Logs do not list this as a known problem.

Update

Update so Far: Dealer kept the car overnight to test for draw and none was found. Ford engineer wants to research problem and get back to the dealer. Still no known cause for the problem which has occurred 3 times in 11 months. So intermittent that it is going to be a bear to track down, Hoping that the group will have some insight.:)

all symptoms indicate charge issue (alarm, service brake, etc.). sure your amp isn't staying on or something like that?

If it is , it has only done it 3 times in 11 months. Dealer could find no draw of any kind. I suspect that the Alt is not always charging properly, but that is going to be very hard to track down.
