I wanted to introduce myself, and ask my very first question.

My name is Nick, I live outside St. Louis with my family, and I work for Cardinal Health making radioactivity for cancer scans. My first car was a 1977 Continental Mark V. I have owned Lincolns and Cadillacs over the years and love them both.

I just bought a 1999 Town Car Signature series, and I have only one problem with it (well two, but I think I figured the other one out). The cruise control does not work. The button on the steering wheel seem like it's not even been used, but when I press it, I get no response from the car at all. The speed control light doesn't come on or anything. I could fix mechanical problems all day long, but when it comes to electrical problems, I don't fare so well.

Anyone have any idea what this could be?

If the town car was on recall they might of had it disconnected or a faulty module put in it. I know they put a recall on the recall switches.

call your local ford dealer and give them your vin number over the phone and they will let you know if you need to get it done, id bet thats whats wrong, and parts are finally available now

have you checked all the fues's and looked at the cruise control th see it it is still connected wires and cable
