Anyone know how to transfer songs from one IPOD to another, I got a new one but Itunes will not transfer my songs.

There is a software out there that will let you copy the music to your computer.

There are quite a few software packages that will let you do what Stone said.

Are you sure the computer/new ipod are authorized in the itunes store?

You should be able to copy those purchased songs to the new ipod just fine. And songs that you didn't buy from the itunes store, iTunes doesn't really care about. It will put them on anything.

... unless you're trying to copy songs from a buddy's ipod to your computer, and then put them on your ipod... Aside from the immoral and illegal aspects of it, use the copy software mentioned above.

no i bought a 120 gig yesterday, and i am trying to transfer the songs from my 4 gig nano

I guess you dont have them stored on your computer then huh? If you did it wouldnt matter.
There should be settings in itunes to synk from your nano to your computer.... .then plug in your classic and authorize it and upload them to it. I'm no ituens expert and things rarely work exactly as I would expect them to.

I use ephPod (F-Pod). It works great and was free when I found it, but that was a while ago. Easy to use too. I got all my buddies ipods and saved their stuff to my comp. Like 900 gigs of music. Then I spent about a month going through everything a getting rid of all the duplicates and gay stuff. Good program.

That's exactly right.

And yes, X2, from here on in keep your music permanently stored on your computer instead of moving it to the iPod. That way, you lose your iPod you still have your music. Just get another one and sync it up :)
